Independently Tested by Fraunhofer IZI
VireXbuster demonstrated greater than 99.9% reduction of Bovine Coronavirus in an independent study conducted at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) in Leipzig, Germany.
About the Study
The Fraunhofer IZI is one of Germany’s leading independent research institutes. The study was conducted by PD Dr. Sebastian Ulbert and Dr. Alexandra Rockstroh from the Department of Vaccines and Infection Models, under strict BSL-2 (Biosafety Level 2) laboratory conditions.
VireXbuster-coated and non-coated (reference) specimens were exposed to Bovine Coronavirus (Betacoronavirus 1) — a close relative of human coronaviruses — for 24 hours at room temperature. Virus concentration was then measured using the TCID₅₀ assay (Tissue Culture Infection Dose 50), the gold standard for quantifying viral infectivity.
